  • What do you mean by this is a “bucket list trip”?
For cold training practitioners, Alaska is a wild frontier that offers training unlike anywhere in the world. From river training to ice covered waterfalls in winter and glacier swimming access in summer; from frozen lakes to snowy hikes in shorts, the beauty and expansive level of training opportunities are unmatched worldwide. Winter training offers a great opportunity to see the northern lights, while summer training allows the opportunity to see abundant wildlife.
  • Who are the instructors?
You will be guided by two of the most experienced, elite cold practitioners. Matt Soule is a level 3 Wim Hof Method (WHM) instructor who has trained hundreds of other (WHM) instructors through his role at the international WHM Academy. Further he has trained many thousands of WHM participants. He has led the majority of his trainings in nature throughout the Pacific Northwest, Colorado, and recently in Alaska. John Paul Huffer is a WHM instructor based in Alaska. Born and raised in this epic frontier, he has spent decades in these mountains, rivers, and waterfalls. Over the last several years he has led groups throughout the winters to experience the best of Alaska’s cold training options.
  • Will I need a rental car?
Not necessarily. We will be offering shuttles on Wednesday, August 3rd estimated at 1p, and a returning shuttle Sunday, August 7th leaving Girdwood at approximately 12p. No experience is required, though an adventurous spirit is necessary. The Wim Hof Method is designed to get you out of your comfort zone. Your guides, Matt Soule and John Paul Huffer, have carefully curated each activity to challenge beginners, intermediate and advanced practitioners as appropriate. Everyone will train within their level to walk away with the best training experience.
