Freeze training refers to thermogenic conditioning: using extreme temperatures to stress the body for beneficial effect.  This standout modality is increasingly popular for good reason, as it offers a myriad of benefits in physical, mental, and emotional health and resiliency. Though both hot and cold training offer great advantages to the practitioner, this 12-week course will primarily focus on cold training, a modality that not only develops us physically and mentally, it also allows us to develop emotionally by confronting some of our deepest fears.  You will learn the value of a cold practice and what is happening in your body while you are doing it. You will get the facts, learn safety, dispel myths, optimize risk, and learn how to choose and develop a cold practice that is right for you. This course is for anybody who is interested in gaining health and vitality, discovering athletic applications, and experiencing emotional and psychological growth.

BREATHE

FAST

Fast refers to fasting: using a combination time-restricted eating and periodic one- to three-day extended fasts to optimize the body. Studies have demonstrated that fasting lends itself to longevity of practice in a way demonstrated by  few other modalities. When used appropriately, the stress that fasting invokes is one of the simplest ways to regain balance and connect with your body through your diet, reset hormones and achieve mental clarity, and sharpen the perceptions of your sensory organs. Learn how to make sure that the fasting you perform is beneficial, rather than another source of stress that will only create adverse consequences, such as unexpected weight gain or unhealthy weight loss. Get clarity about what type of fasting is best suited for you and what steps and protocols will prepare your body for success.

FIGHT

The fight survival stress tool™ focuses on particular styles of martial arts training that help the practitioner to confront primal fears of harm to the self and harm to others, while learning refined motor skill control, emotional intensity modulation, and how to find peace amidst the chaos. Learn skills that will allow you to practice the courage to act when you need it. Discover why alignment, posture, pressure and distance to the adversary tie deeply into the nervous system’s ability to respond effectively. Learn how to avoid freezing in the moment when action is needed. Uncover how to maximize your own strength and undermine your opponent's. Breathing Control Series

This series helps you explore applied fundamentals and breathing mechanics.  It includes a variety of principle-based exercises that are easy to learn, but powerful to include in any breath practice.  They are an excellent way to build breath awareness and breath control suitable for beginners and advanced practitioners alike.  Through demonstrations which discuss applications of survival stress tools including fasting, freezing (cold water immersion), fighting / martial arts as well as sex / intimacy, you will ground your knowledge in how the breath allows you to steer the nervous system for peak performance.
